Sapphire 2025.5 Release
Sapphire 2025.5 was released on May 1, 2025. It adds AI-powered mask and tracking functionality to the built-in Mocha. It also introduces stylish, modern UIs for the Preset Browser, Effect & Transition Builder, and Flare Designer. It also adds eight new lens flare packs and supports GPU acceleration on AMD.
Users who are subscribed to the Sapphire Upgrade & Support Plan as of May 1, 2025 , and customers with a valid one-year license can use Sapphire 2025.5 with the latest installer and their current license.
License activation bug on macOS 14.4.1
Due to the specifications of macOS 14.4.1, a bug occurs when activating a license for Boris FX products on macOS 14.4.1. Customers using Boris FX products should not use macOS 14.4.1, but should use macOS 14.4 or earlier / macOS 14.5 or later. (May 15, 2024)

"Object Brush ML" automatically generates a spline mask by simply clicking on the subject, and Mocha tracks its movement across frames. Furthermore, "Matte Assist ML" instantly generates animated segmented mattes from a single frame. Leveraging these AI tools, you can quickly apply Sapphire effects like Glow and Zap, intuitively and with precision, right within the interface.
